So, here we are—two clicks away from launching our first Short Story release. Exciting, right? But hold your horses! When you work for The Man, there are rules. Oh, so many rules. And let’s be honest, you can’t just go thumbing your nose at Uncle Sam.

Currently, we find ourselves firmly entrenched in the Pre-Publication Review process. This is where The Powers That Be scrutinize our works, ensuring we don’t divulge anything we shouldn’t. It’s a bit like being in a high-stakes game of hide and seek, but instead of hiding, we’re trying to keep our creative ideas under wraps.

The Weight of Bureaucracy

The government shutdown isn’t doing us any favors either. Red Tape and Bureaucracy exist solely for the sake of Red Tape and Bureaucracy. It’s like a never-ending maze, where every corner you turn leads to another layer of complexity.

Until our manuscript is released and approved, we’re left with one option: wait. Patience is a virtue, they say. But let’s be real—my patience is running VERY thin.
